Community Pulls Together For Cemetery Expansion

As reported in the Sun Journal, the Town of Minot is nearing the completion of its efforts toward an expansion of the Center Minot Hill Cemetery.  Winslow Durgin, of the Sun Journal, reports that the project, which was a collaboration of local companies and service providers, is below budget and looks to finish that way. Town Administrator Arlan Saunders notes that Main-Land went “above and beyond” what was expected, as the surveying company contracted with for the survey of the addition.

Mount Abram Adds Duane’s Retreat

To cap off a process that has been about a year in the making,  the Town of  Greenwood Planning Board approved the plan of the Hillside Condominiums at Mount Abram project.  Hillside Condominiums at Mt. Abram is a 121 unit residential condominium project adjacent to the Mt. Abram ski slopes.  Each unit will have up to 4 bedrooms, a deck, extra parking, and most will have ski-in ski-out access to the trails.  The project includes over a mile of new roads, expanded and new parking areas, expansion of their snowmaking ponding facility, new wells and water distribution system, and improvements to decks and patios at the lodge.

The project is still in the review process with the Maine DEP, though a decision on the Site Location of Development Permit is not far off.

Otter Brook Subdivision Receives Approval

Wednesday night at the Bethel Town Hall Meeting Room, East Bethel Road, LLC finished the permitting stage of its bid to develop a 14 lot residential subdivision in East Bethel. The Bethel Planning Board voted unanimously to approve the application for subdivision, after much review. The project had received approval for its DEP Permit by Rule some weeks earlier. East Bethel Road, LLC plans to begin the construction phase shortly.
