Exactly two weeks after the Natural Resources Committee heard testimony on LD 1268: An Act to Update the Site Location of Development Laws, the controversial bill will be back before the committee, this time for a work session.
Darryl Brown, the owner of Main-Land Development Consultants and a leading opponent of the bill, will attend the 1 p.m. Tuesday work session. In the meantime, those who object to LD 1268 are encouraged to contact members of the committee and urge them to kill the bill. Committee members contact information can be found here.
Stay tuned to the Main-Land blog for the latest updates on LD 1268. We appreciate those who have taken the time to join us in our battle against this bill, which we think would be paralyzing for much of Maine, especially the state’s rural areas.
